Coinbase makes it easy to get started with crypto
Everyone has to start somewhere and Coinbase is a great place to start in your crypto journey. If you are a long time crypto enthusiast you can still benefit from a Coinbase account because of their ongoing Learn & Earn opportunities. They have short videos which explain from a high level what various coins/tokens are about, then if you answer a multiple choice quiz question correctly, you earn some of that cryptocurrency. All of the crypto I have earned this way has increased in value, many of them have significantly increased in value. It’s free money, but you also get to learn about various projects in the crypto world.
Account opening bonuses – $50+ total
If you open an account through my link and fund it with at least $100, Coinbase will give you $10 in free bitcoin (BTC) from my referral link (typically new customers get only $5 in free bitcoin after funding their account).
Once your account is set up and you’re logged in, look for the “Earn Rewards” link on the left hand side. Go through those opportunities to earn even more. The options presented typically allow you to earn $40 in crypto, but they are ever changing, so sometimes you can earn even more, or sometimes fewer opportunities allow for earning less.
My Opinion
All told, I like Coinbase because they have lower fees than other platforms and their fees are charged upfront more than some other platforms I’ve used. I love their learn & earn program – I think everyone should have their own account to earn these free cryptocurrencies. Their interface is clean and clear and if you log in to their Pro interface, you can create orders and save on fees.
That said, I would NOT use Coinbase as my main crypto hodling platform for cryptocurrencies I want to sit on for years to come. Coinbase has okay rates for Algorand (ALGO), but even there you can do better elsewhere. Coinbase is great for buying crypto and transferring it to other platforms, especially platforms like Celsius – that are meant more for hodling crypto and less for transactions. Here’s links for opening accounts at both Coinbase and Celsius, since I think they go great together.
